Phase 2 of our Laundry to Office project involved removing old cabinets, wall paper and other items from the laundry room. In the process, we discovered some evidence of water to the sheetrock around the plumbing and from a built-in planter box on the back patio.. While investigating further, we found that water had rotted out the sill plate and some framing repairs will be needed prior to sheetrock and paint. As with most remodels or renovations, there are often unexpected items that come up during the demo or de-construction process. Although not a major concern, the rot repairs do require an added element to project and have delayed us temporarily.
